Introduction to the Specialty Musicology (Sino-Foreign Joint Program)

 In order to better realize the school-running characteristics of “regional, application-oriented and international” of Shijiazhuang University, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Shijiazhuang University will officially enroll students in the undergraduate education program of Musicology (approval No.: MOE13IT2A20222226N) jointly offered by Shijiazhuang University and Padua Conservatory “Cesare Pollini” of Music, Italy in 2022. In this program, specialized core courses will be jointly offered by Chinese and Italian sides, with a length of four years. After passing the exam, students will be awarded the undergraduate diploma and Bachelor of Arts degree of Shijiazhuang University.

Undergraduate-level education
[Cultivation Model]
The “4+0” school-running model will be adopted, that is, students will study in Shijiazhuang University for four academic years.
[Objectives]
With international teaching and innovative practice capability training as the core, to cultivate high-quality applied talents who have comprehensive professional quality of musicology, education and teaching capability and specialized music skills with international vision, and are competent for professional music teaching, artistic performance, music talent training and other work at home and abroad.
[Employment Prospects]
Graduates have broad employment prospects. After graduation, they can serve as music teachers in primary and secondary schools, art colleges and universities, music teachers and counselors in professional art groups, social art training institutions, and organizers and managers of mass art work in cultural institutions at all levels, music and art worker in other social institutions, etc. Students may also apply to further study for a master’s degree at the Padua Conservatory “Cesare Pollini” of Music, Italy, or to study in other foreign universities.
